Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MinifigMaker.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). This agreement constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and MinifigMaker.ai, operated as a sole proprietorship. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MinifigMaker.ai is an AI-powered platform that helps users create custom LEGO minifigures using official LEGO parts. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered character image analysis
  • LEGO part recommendations and search capabilities
  • Access to a comprehensive database of official LEGO parts, colors, and designs
  • Part sourcing information and marketplace links

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using:

  • Email address and password
  • Google OAuth authentication

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. User Content

When you upload images or other content to the Service ("User Content"):

  • You retain all ownership rights to your User Content
  • You grant MinifigMaker.ai a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and analyze your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (AI analysis, part recommendations)
  • You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload the User Content
  • You warrant that your User Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
  • You warrant that your User Content does not contain confidential information you are not authorized to disclose

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.

6. Intellectual Property

MinifigMaker.ai and its content (excluding User Content) are protected by intellectual property laws. This includes:

  • Service design, functionality, and user interface
  • Graphics, logos, and branding
  • Source code and software
  • Documentation and content

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which is not affiliated with this site. All LEGO part data is provided for informational and reference purposes only.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service integrates with or links to third-party services, including:

  • Google OAuth for authentication
  • OpenAI for AI image analysis
  • BrickLink, Rebrickable, and other LEGO marketplaces
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers

We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

9. Fees and Payment

The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium services in the future. If we do so, we will provide advance notice and clearly communicate pricing and payment terms.

10. Account Termination

Your Right to Terminate: You may delete your account at any time through the account settings page. Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed.

Our Right to Terminate: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse or misuse the Service
  • Create risk or legal liability for us
  • Have an inactive account for an extended period

11. Disclaimers and Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties of non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated recommendations
  • Warranties that LEGO parts will be available for purchase or compatible as suggested

We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your requirements or that AI recommendations will result in accurate or complete LEGO minifigure designs. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINIFIGMAKER.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions, errors, or security breaches
  • Damages arising from reliance on AI-generated recommendations
  • Costs of purchasing LEGO parts or incompatible part combinations

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MinifigMaker.ai, its operators, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@minifigmaker.ai to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MinifigMaker.ai regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
